About Work Based Learning

Paris works for Big Creek Family Dentistry.
Work-based Learning (WBL) is designed to provide relevant experiences in all career areas that will assist students in making decisions concerning their future. 

WBL Requirements—Students apply for the program during their Junior year in high school. Eligible students must have the following:
 Be in the 12th grade
 Good Discipline Report
 Three teacher recommendations
 Be on track for graduation (Counselor sign-off)
 Have parent/guardian approval for entry into the program
 Provide their own transportation to and from the work site
 Have no more than 5 days absent during the previous school year

Georgia DOE Work Based Learning
​Work Based Learning is Good For Business and the Community.

Students will earn a Georgia Business Employability Skills Training Certificate from the Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL).
Students will earn a Career Ready Diploma Seal from the Georgia Department of Education.
